about

Iono is Relapso’s latest LP and more than music it has a story to tell you. Play and replay it until the whole message is clear.
The opening theme, Birth, may cause you to experience physical pain and discomfort, precisely as birth should feel like. Although it’s a symbol of one of the most beautiful biological phenomenon, this approach finds its beauty in the dark blured lack of sight
with which we step down into this world.

Next up, remember the old saying, where it’s questioned if when a tree falls, and no one hears it, does it make a sound? If you abandon some silences for too long they can become unbearably loud.
At a certain time of our life, we tend to feel weightless, just as if the earth’s gravitational pull was meaningless, and we dance above the earth plane with only the stars above our heads. Then the gravitational pull we forgot earlier kicks back in. Our crystal vision is shattered, life as we saw it just an illusion, everything we’ve lived was dissolved just like acid dissolves even the strongest matter.

It’s precisely in the moment when you thought that the acid corroded all that was left in you that Iono, the main theme, kicks in and throws you into the wall over and over again while you keep stanting up, over and over again. A pulse of acid energy that leaves you bruised but makes you come back for more. The damage from that whole acid action has been done, and there’s nothing more that can be done. You enter in the stage of Microvision. Remember when you were born? No? Usually nobody does, so no one is prepared for when the word turns utterly dim. Your sight keep’s diminishing but the world keeps pounding you. Microvision and its relentless beat is all that keeps you connected to the real world.

Face it, all you’ve got left is to shelter the little vision you’ve got left. Now you wander and the only thing your eyes can see are the shades of everything that eroded. Sheltering the vision is the hope of making sense of the vicious place you’ve inherited. When the sight is gone, all that’s left is to embrance solitude. Solitute is warm and quite, melancholic maybe but you feel safe.

With your vision and strength gone, there’s still time for a bit of light to shine in the forgotten valleys of your memories. Viriatus will make you feel the joy and vigor that once made you feel invincible, enjoy it for a moment, move forward, go where the beat
leads you and with the melody resonating in your hollow and weakened heart you will never feel tired. If you keep going some light will shed a path for you to follow. The drums will still be there to guide you just don’t let the storm scare you from your destiny. Step forward and follow your path until the end. Everyone needs an Ending theme.
